Count Your Peanut Cookies

Have had a few ideas running in my head for a week or so and finally stealing some time to do some blogging 🙂 Also interestingly, today’s post is slightly more personal than usual and the first time I believe where I’m actually blogging about someone in specific. Also this post is quite short (3 sections instead of the usual 5 — read more on

Melting Peanut Cookies

Q: When PC is not for Peanut Cookies
A: That’s when PC stands for Pauline Cheah or Patisserie Counterpart or Partner in Cakes 😛
This week we are taking a moment to reflect and count our blessings on PC whom regular blogders may recognize as my business partner in our still freshly baked Loviere Patisserie (Read more here)

We had known each other for some 5-6 years back. Despite the fact that our high schools were just adjacent (separated by McSwitzerland), we actually got to know each other from mutual friends. Still, her intriguing cute character, independent thinking, and largely relaxed attitude saw us getting reasonably close. Detracting from the story (which seems to be heading in the wrong direction) even back then we found ourselves exchanging emails for a short stint whereby we talked about life and studies (she was studying abroad), to personal finance, to opening a restaurant one day.

We find ourselves on that path today from starting up on our homebaked business with its unique challenges in today’s competitive world in the competitive island of Penang whereby the people are believed to picky on the food they eat being largely spoilt for choice in this food paradise island. It is of course a challenge between balancing the long term dreams of opening up our own cafe, yet focusing on the next immediate steps to be taken as we keep moving on ahead. Thus we end with a short poem instead today. Dreams do come true babe.

Dare To Dream by Julie Anne Ford
Let nothing hold you back from
exploring your wildest fantasies,
wishes, and aspirations.
Don’t be afraid to dream big
and to follow your dreams
wherever they may lead you.
Open your eyes to their beauty;
open your mind to their magic;
open your heart to their possibilities.

Dare to dream.
Whether they are in color
or in black and white,
whether they are big or small,
easily attainable or almost impossible,
look to your dreams,
and make them become reality.
Wishes and hopes are nothing
until you take the first step
towards making them something!

Dare to dream,
Because only by dreaming,
will you ever discover
who you are, what you want,
and what you can do.
Don’t be afraid to take risks,
to become involved,
to make commitment.
Do whatever it takes to make
your dreams come true.
Always believe in miracles,
and always believe in you!

What dreams have you shared with a partner, friend, lover or significant other?
